The Rev. Peter E. Campbell, MSC, a member of the Missionaries of the Sacred Heart, 79, of Asbury Gardens, North Aurora, IL, passed away peacefully on Monday, July 1, 2013 at Presence Mercy Center, Aurora, IL.
Fr. Peter was parochial vicar at St. John the Baptist Parish, Revere (Ottsville), PA from 1961-1965.
During his retirement years Fr. Peter achieved his dream of writing two books Life’s Healing Journey, A Path to Peace, published in Aug of 2010 and You’re Not the Person I Want You To Be, published in Dec, 2012.
Visitation will be held from 3 to 8 pm on Wednesday, July 3 at St. Therese Church, 271 Farnsworth Ave. Aurora, IL, with Office of Dead at 7:30 pm.
Visitation will also be held from 10:00 am to 11:00 am prior to the funeral Mass. A concelebrated Mass of Christian Burials will be at St. Therese Church on Friday, July 5 at 11am with Fr. Raymond Diesbourg, MSC, as Celebrant.
Interment will follow at Mount Olivet Cemetery, Aurora, IL. The Daleiden Mortuary, 220 N Lake St. Aurora, IL will handle the funeral arrangements. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Missionaries of the Sacred Heart or Life’s Healing Journey, PO Box 270, Aurora, IL.
