Concerts at the Cathedral will present Christmas in Germany with Piffaro, Tempesta di Mare and Choral Arts Philadelphia on Friday, Dec. 18 at 8 p.m. at the Cathedral Basilica of SS. Peter and Paul.

Piffaro brings together Philadelphia’s premiere early music ensembles – Tempesta di Mare and Choral Arts Philadelphia – to recreate a joyous Advent Vespers as it would have been celebrated in Dresden in 1619, with music by Michael Praetorius, Heinrich Schütz, and Samuel Scheidt.
