St. Charles Borromeo Seminary will host the Cardinal’s Forum to discuss “The Gift of the Priestly Vocation” and the journey of priestly formation on Monday, Aug. 28 at 7 p.m. in the seminary’s Vianney Hall Auditorium.
The Cardinal’s Forum is an annual gathering that advances the academic formation of seminary students and provides continuing education for the lay faithful about a topic of contemporary concern.
Bishop Timothy Senior, seminary rector, will open the conference with remarks followed by viewpoints on the topic given by Dr. John Haas on behalf of the John Cardinal Krol Chair of Moral Theology, Oblate Father Thomas Dailey on behalf of the John Cardinal Foley Chair of Homiletics and Social Communications and concluding with a talk by Archbishop Charles Chaput.
Discussion among the presenters will be moderated by Father Robert Pesarchick, vice-president for academic affairs at the seminary. A discussion with the audience will begin at 8:25 p.m.
The event is sponsored jointly by the John Cardinal Krol Chair of Moral Theology and the John Cardinal Foley Chair of Homiletics and Social Communications, both of St. Charles Seminary.
