At the Archbishop’s Christmas Gala for Children held in Philadelphia Dec. 18, children served all year long by Catholic Social Services’ agencies gathered for a day of fun with a distinct Latin American flavor. Children aided by teenage and adult volunteers and church leaders enjoyed two living Nativity plays — one with live animals, one with children acting the roles of animals — a Las Posadas procession, music, dancing, tasty treats, a visit by Santa Claus and presents to open for all. The event was emceed by Father Christopher Walsh. Read all about the celebration here. (Photos by Sarah Webb)
