The Archdiocese of Philadelphia’s Catholic Charities Appeal (CCA) is hosting a night of family fun Monday night, Feb. 11, as the Philadelphia Flyers take on the Pittsburgh Penguins at the Wells Fargo Center.
A portion of the proceeds from each ticket purchased through a dedicated link will go directly to CCA, the largest annual fundraising initiative in the archdiocese.
This year’s appeal will help serve tens of thousands of people through numerous ministries in the five-county archdiocese. Programs receiving funding from CCA include housing for the homeless, community food cupboards, afterschool academic enrichment and recreational opportunities for youth, and family support services.
Visit this link to purchase tickets for the Flyers’ game against the cross-state rival Penguins, and to support the Catholic Charities Appeal. Seating will be located in section 222A at $60 per ticket.
The deadline for purchasing a ticket to benefit the appeal is Feb. 8 at 7 p.m.
If 100 tickets are sold, a CCA beneficiary organization will perform on the Wells Fargo Center concourse prior to the start of the game. In addition, one beneficiary will have the opportunity to sit in the penalty box during player warm-ups.
