Event Description

The American Catholic Historical Society of Philadelphia invites you to dinner and a lecture. In this lecture, Dr. Tom McCarthy explores the postwar transformation of American and Catholic higher education by recounting the professional experience of his father, psychologist-educator Thomas N. McCarthy, and his colleagues at La Salle College. He will discuss how these educators, in seeking to reciprocate the generosity they had experienced in their own lives, enthusiastically shared the American promise with their students.
