Sister Eileen Haggerty, S.S.J. (formerly Sister James Naomi), age 83, died Nov. 13 at St. Joseph Villa in Flourtown.
The daughter of the late James and Naomi Haggerty, she attended St. Athanasius School and Little Flower High School in Philadelphia.
In September 1956 she entered the Sisters of St. Joseph, Chestnut Hill and professed her final vows in 1964.
Sister Eileen ministered in the Archdiocese of Philadelphia and the Dioceses of Allentown and Camden.
She is survived by brothers William Haggerty (Deborah) and James Haggerty (Jean), nieces, nephews, grandnieces, grandnephews and members of her congregation, the Sisters of St. Joseph.
The funeral Mass was Nov. 18 at St. Joseph Villa.
