A Mass for health and healing will be celebrated at Daylesford Abbey on Thursday, March 5 at 11 a.m.
The liturgy is part of a series that takes place on the first Thursday of each month the the abbey, which is located at 220 South Valley Road in Paoli.
The Mass includes the sacrament of anointing for all who might benefit from God’s grace for the healing of emotional, spiritual or physical distress.
God wants to and will heal us through the power of the Holy Spirit, whom Mass participants are asked to invite into their hearts with expectant faith, nurtured by the words of Scripture: ” Bless the LORD, my soul; and do not forget all his gifts, who pardons all your sins, and heals all your ills, who redeems your life from the pit, and crowns you with mercy and compassion” (Ps 103:2-4).
After Mass, lunch will be served in the Abbey’s dining room. An offering of $10 per person is requested, and attendees are asked to reserve a seat so that the Abbey’s kitchen staff can prepare accordingly.
For the March 5 Mass, lunch reservations are requested by March 2.
