ABC News’ John Quiñones will receive the Cardinal Foley Award during the annual Cardinal Foley Symposium on Thursday, May 27.
Join the online event here which begins at 7 p.m. with a town-hall discussion including Quiñones, host of ABC’s long-running show “What Would You Do?” and focusing on Pope Francis’ message for this year’s World Communications Day, whose theme is “’Come and See:’ Communicating by Encountering People Where and as They Are.” (Read the full message here.)
The award will be presented to Quiñones at 8:15 p.m.
The event is sponsored by the John Cardinal Foley Chair of Homiletics and Social Communications at St. Charles Borromeo Seminary.
The chair supports the work of the Catholic Church in social communications by teaching seminary students and church groups, working with staff in parishes and (arch)dioceses and engaging in dialogue with journalists and media professionals.
