Sister Joseph Andre Intrieri, S.S.J., age 81, died Oct. 21 at Chestnut Hill Hospital.

The daughter of the late Joseph and Gilda (nee Viola) Intrieri, she attended Our Mother of Consolation Grade School in Philadelphia’s Chestnut Hill neighborhood and Little Flower High School, Philadelphia.

In September 1960 she entered the Sisters of St. Joseph, Chestnut Hill, and professed her final vows in 1968.

Sister Joseph ministered in the archdioceses of Philadelphia and Newark, and the Diocese of Allentown.

She is survived by Sister of Robert Intrieri (Dorothy) and Louise Vozzo, her aunt Louise Hirst, sister-in-law Kitty Intrieri, nieces, nephews, grandnieces, grandnephews and members of her congregation, the Sisters of St. Joseph.

She is preceded in death by her twin brother Joseph Intrieri, brother Anthony Intrieri and brother-in-law Benjamin Vozzo Sr.

The funeral Mass was celebrated Oct. 27 at St. Joseph Villa, Flourtown.
