“The Hammer of God,” a play on the life and dilemmas of St. Paul, will be presented Friday, May 13 a t 6:30 p.m. at St. Vincent de Paul Church, 109 East Price Street, in Philadelphia’s Germantown section.
On trial for religious heresy and fomenting public insurrection, Paul must justify his actions or face banishment or death.
The play, directed by Cheryl Williams and featuring Eric Kramer and Owen Peakes, grapples with the divide between vision and delusion, and between dedication to a cause and fanaticism.
The event is free and open to the public.
