On Oct. 2 Archbishop Nelson Pérez celebrated over 40 Archdiocesan parish and regional elementary schools and private Catholic schools that have been selected over the years as National Blue Ribbon Schools of Excellence by the United States Department of Education. Each school was invited to attend the celebration at the Shrine of Saint John Neumann at Saint Peter the Apostle Parish with a delegation of pastors, administrators, and student representatives.
With the addition of the 2023 cohort, Blue Ribbon status has been awarded 51 times to parish and regional elementary schools in the five-county Archdiocese since the program’s inception in 1982. (Photos: Sarah Webb)
