Most Reverend Nelson J. Pérez, Archbishop of Philadelphia, will be the principal convener of the Annual Archdiocesan Interfaith Prayer Service commemorating the life and legacy of Reverend Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.
He will be joined by Rabbi Chana Leslie Glazer, Interim Rabbi at Temple Brith Achim of King of Prussia; Dr. Keith Reeves, member of Calvary Baptist Church and Professor at Swarthmore College; and Deacon James Mahoney, M.A., Permanent Diaconate, assigned to St Athanasius Parish and Associate Director of the Basilica Shrine of the Miraculous Medal.
Faith leaders from diverse denominations will proclaim scripture readings and lead a reflection on Martin Luther King, Jr. The Music Prelude will be provided by the Saint Rose of Lima Independence Mission School Choir. The Philadelphia Catholic Gospel Mass Choir will lead the gathering in song, as well as present the closing songs.
Saint Katharine Drexel Church is located at 1920 Providence Avenue in Chester.
