Join the National Centre for Padre Pio for a special presentation on Blessed Miriam Teresa, known as the “American Therese.” The presentation will take place on April 10 following the 12:00 p.m. Mass at the National Centre for Padre Pio.
Blessed Miriam Teresa entered the Sisters of Charity of Saint Elizabeth and wrote a series of reflections about growth in holiness posthumously published under the title “Greater Perfection.” Before her death at the age of 26, she was granted special permission to profess final vows. She was beatified in 2014 and was the first person to be beatified in the United States.
The guest presenter will be Sister Maureen Corcoran, SC who serves as the Director or the Blessed Miram Teresa League of Prayer. Veneration of the Relics of Padre Pio and Blessed Miriam Teresa will follow the presentation.
Items relating to Blessed Miriam will be available for purchase in the narthex.
This is a free event, and no registration is necessary.
The National Centre for Padre Pio is located at 111 Barto Road in Barto.
