Saint John’s Hospice hosted a community giveaway event Oct. 19 to mark the successful completion of its fourth annual “Boot Up Philly” initiative. The Catholic Social Services ministry distributed cold weather essentials such as coats, footwear, socks, and undergarments to 1,080 individuals experiencing homelessness.
