Join the National Shrine of St. Rita of Cascia, Philadelphia, on March 21 for their second annual Saint Rita Day of Service in honor of their beloved patroness, Rita of Cascia.
Groups from throughout the country – schools, businesses, houses of formation, parishes, families and friends – are invited to take up a service project to promote the virtues that defined so much of Saint Rita’s life.
The mission of the Saint Rita Day of Service is to be inspired by the life of Saint Rita in a way that builds a better world for all people. This day aims not only to promote the life of Saint Rita, but to invite people from around the country to embody these virtues for themselves.
Groups and individuals from across the country – including Pennsylvania, Massachusetts, Illinois, California, Wisconsin, Alabama, Virginia, New Jersey, Georgia, and Tennessee – are participating in the day to make the world a better, more peaceful place. This amounts to more than 2,700 individuals serving with and for their respective communities in the name of Saint Rita.
This year’s Saint Rita Day of Service is sponsored by 10 local businesses and organizations, including Firstrust Bank, this year’s Peacemaker Sponsor.
