Scenes from June 12 show Archbishop Nelson J. Pérez celebrating a Mass of dedication and blessing the Sacre Coeur Perpetual Adoration Chapel at St. Denis Church in Havertown, formally designating it as an archdiocesan shrine.

The more than 1,500-square-foot chapel, open 24 hours a day, offers a space for Eucharistic devotion, with room for prayer, silence, and reflection for both Catholics and non-Catholics seeking to encounter Christ. The impetus for this project stems from Kathy and Ward Fitzgerald’s desire to help the Archdiocese of Philadelphia make the Catholic faith accessible to more people. Read more about the chapel here.
