Generation Phaith rallies 200 + Catholic teens

More than 200 teens came to Archbishop Carroll High School March 2 for the Generation Phaith youth rally. They enjoyed discussions about their faith, time for prayer including Mass, the sacrament of penance and eucharistic adoration, plus music, food and fun.

The 123 Catholic elementary schools, 17 high schools and four schools of special education of the Archdiocese of Philadelphia held various activities during Catholic Schools Week, Jan. 26 to Feb. 1, to highlight the values of faith, knowledge and service in the schools.

Hundreds attend Cardinal Foley lecture at seminary

Father Thomas Dailey, O.S.F.S., who holds the John Cardinal Foley Chair of Homiletics and Social Communications at St. Charles Borromeo Seminary, spoke Jan. 27 at a packed Vianney Hall at the seminary. The talk on evangelization and communications was the first in the John Cardinal Foley Lecture Series honoring the late cardinal.
