Sister M. Anna Joseph Nelling, a native of the Philadelphia region from St. David Parish in Willow Grove, professed her first vows as a Sister of St. Francis of Perpetual Adoration during a Mass celebrated Aug. 11 by Fort Wayne Bishop Kevin Rhoades in Indiana.
She was one of three women to profess vows in the community. She currently serves as administrative assistant at St. John theEvangelistSchoolin St. John, Ind.
After the women professed their vows to the order’s provincial superior, Sister M. Angela Mellady, the bishop blessed the rings that the sisters wear as a sign of their consecration as spouses of Jesus Christ and members of the religious community.
