Annette DiMedio will receive the 2014 Claver Award presented by the Philadelphia Central Committee of the Knights of Peter Claver and the Knights of Peter Claver Ladies Auxiliary.
For 25 years, DiMedio has been the 6ABC producer of the weekly televised Mass sponsored by the Archdiocese of Philadelphia’s Office for Communications. The eighth annual Claver Award Banquet will be held at the City Avenue Hilton Hotel on Saturday, Nov. 15 at 1 p.m.
The event reflects the mission of St. Peter Claver by publicly spotlighting those adults and young people who have made an impact by serving their church and community with distinction.
The 1,300 Masses that have aired on 6ABC have served as a spiritual lifeline for thousands of the faithful in the Philadelphia region who are elderly, ill or otherwise unable to attend a regularly scheduled Mass.
