Sister Marie Natalie Sommer, S.S.J. (formerly Barbara Ann Grace Sommer), age 88, died Dec. 10 at St. Joseph Villa in Flourtown.
The daughter of the late Lawrence and Helen Sommer, she attended St. Athanasius Grade School and Little Flower High School in Philadelphia.
In September 1950 she entered the Sisters of St. Joseph, Chestnut Hill, and professed her final vows in 1958.
Sister Marie Natalie ministered in the Archdiocese of Philadelphia and the dioceses of Allentown, Trenton and Wilmington.
The sister the late Helen and Patricia Sommer, Olive Kremenowski and Jane Harvey, she is survived by nieces, nephews, grandnieces, grandnephews and members of her congregation, the Sisters of St. Joseph.
The funeral Mass was celebrated Dec. 17 at St. Joseph Villa.
