Mercy Neighborhood Ministries will keep their neighborhood children warm this winter thanks to a donation of 260 coats by the Knights of Columbus Council at St. Margaret Parish in Narberth and their Coats 4 Kids drive.
Mercy Neighborhood Ministries, run by the Sisters of Mercy, improves the quality of life for its neighbors by establishing a strong academic and economic foundation for future success.
“During this pandemic year, the need for these coats is greater than ever,” said Sister Ann Provost, director of Mercy Neighborhood Ministries. “This year we received twice as many coats as last year. We are truly thankful for the efforts of the Knights of Columbus at St. Margaret’s.”
The council solicited donations from St. Margaret parishioners as well as local businesses and residents of Narberth.
“The generosity and support we received was amazing,” said Frank Garofolo, Grand Knight of the St. Margaret’s Council. “We are hopeful we can provide support to the Mercy Neighborhood Ministries every year. Their leadership is significantly improving the lives of the children they serve.”
