Sister Janice Marie Yust, a Missionary Sister of the Most Sacred of Jesus, died July 2 in Philadelphia. She was 69.
She was the daughter of the late Robert and Georgeanna (Hoffman) Yust of Philadelphia. She made her first profession of vows in 1973.
Early in her ministry, Sister Janice worked as a nursing aide at Good Samaritan Hospital in Pottsville, Pa. She was a staff nurse at Sacred Heart Hospital in Norristown and at Mercy Catholic Medical Center in Philadelphia.
Since the 1990s Sister Janice had lovingly embraced her hospice/home health ministry for Holy Redeemer Hospital in Philadelphia.
Besides the members of her religious congregation, Sister Janice is survived by her sister, Darlene Graves of Maple Shade, N.J., and nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents.
The funeral Mass was celebrated July 8 in Holy Guardian Angels Church, Reading, Pa. Interment in the MSC convent cemetery followed the Mass.
