More than 130 distinguished scholars from 30 archdiocesan and private Catholic secondary schools were commended at the Philadelphia Archdiocese’s 42nd Annual Academic Honors Convocation, which took place May 19 at the Cathedral Basilica of SS. Peter and Paul. All the students ranked in the top 3% of their senior class, and 10 were also named Neumann Scholars by the Connelly Foundation. The convocation ceremony was preceded by a celebration of the Liturgy of the Word, at which Archbishop Nelson J. Pérez presided. (Photos by Sarah Webb)
