On Thursday, Sept. 26 the Father Bill Atkinson Service Corps presented its 3rd annual Father Bill Atkinson Pilgrimage, a four mile walk from St. Thomas of Villanova Church — where Father Bill’s tomb is located — to Our Lady of Assumption in Wayne.
Founded in 2021, the Father Bill Atkinson Service Corps enables individuals with intellectual disabilities to reach their full potential and participate meaningfully in the community.
During the walk, those in attendance prayed for the canonization of the Servant of God and the intentions of the local community. Before the walk, prior of the Augustinian province, Fr. Rob Hagan, O.S.A., celebrated Mass.
