“Pilgrims of Hope: A Concert for Racial Healing” will be held 3 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 23 at Daylesford Abbey in Paoli.

The concert, under the direction of Ted Latham and Tonya Taylor-Dorsey, will gather seven local choirs employing the power of music for healing the sin of racism.

This event is a journey of hope in the Church’s jubilee year, and Archbishop Nelson J. Pérez is expected to attend.

The free event does not require registration, and all are welcome to attend. A reception will follow.

Participating choirs include Daylesford Abbey Choir, God’s Men, St. Katharine of Siena Parish Choir, Philadelphia Catholic Gospel Mass Choir, St. Rose of Lima Youth Choir, St. Thomas of Villanova Adult Choir, and St. Thomas of Villanova Boys Choir.

The Philadelphia Catholic Gospel Mass Choir, under the direction of Tonya Taylor-Dorsey, combines voices from various parishes within the Archdiocese of Philadelphia. The choir sings for Masses, revivals, celebrations, and the annual Soulful Christmas Concert at the Kimmel Center.

God’s Men is a choir of six Catholic men with varied life-experiences  who share a love of the Lord and are excited to worship, celebrate, and honor God via song. Their music ministry can be heard every first Saturday of month at St. John Chrysostom Parish in Wallingford.
