Sister Virginia Chapin, I.H.M.
Sister Virginia Chapin, I.H.M., formerly Sister Stephen Marie, died March 16, 2009, at Camilla Hall, Immaculata. She was born in Philadelphia and entered the congregation of the Sisters, Servants of the Immaculate Heart of Mary in 1950. She professed her first vows in 1952. She went on to teach in various elementary schools in the Archdiocese of Philadelphia and retired in August 2007. She was predeceased by her parents William and Mary White Chapin and her sister, Joan Sills. A funeral Mass was celebrated March 20 at Camilla Hall. Interment followed. She is survived by one niece, Jennifer, many cousins, including Sister Marita Jean McCormick, I.H.M., and her religious community.
Ann M. Cochrane
Ann M. Cochrane (nee Dischinger) died March 16, 2009. She was 85. She was the beloved wife of the late Charles J.; mother of Mary Anne, Peter and Bernadette; sister of Tressa, the late Frank E. and Paul W.; grandmother of Charlotte, Eamon, Maura, Chris, Tim, Dan, Julie and Ben. A funeral Mass was celebrated at Resurrection of Our Lord Church. Interment followed at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery.
Sister Miriam Rosaire Herrity, I.H.M.
Sister Miriam Rosaire Herrity, I.H.M., formerly Margaret T. Herrity, died March 15, 2009, at Camilla Hall, Immaculata. She was born in Girardville, Pa., and entered the congregation of the Sisters, Servants of the Immaculate Heart of Mary in 1931. She professed her first vows in 1934. A teacher for more than 55 years, she taught in various schools in the Archdiocese of Philadelphia and the Diocese of Allentown. She retired in 2000 to Camilla Hall where her primary ministry was prayer. She was predeceased by her parents William and Mary Gaughan Herrity; three brothers, Father William, Edward,and John; two sisters, Eleanor and Mary; and a cousin, Sister Beatrice Marie Cooke, I.H.M. A funeral Mass was celebrated March 18 at Camilla Hall. Interment followed in the Immaculata Cemetery. She is survived by a nephew, nieces, grandnephews, grandnieces and her religious community.
Father Albert T. Kostelnick
Father Albert T. Kostelnick, a retired priest of the Philadelphia Archdiocese and resident of St. Francis Country House in Darby, died Monday, March 30, 2009. His funeral Mass was celebrated Friday, April 3, at St. Francis Country House.Interment was at Holy Saviour Cemetery in Bethlehem.
