High school students of the Archdiocese of Philadelphia will be attending a Nov. 15 rally in Harrisburg to make their voices heard to legislators about the importance of school choice.
The rally will take place at the Capitol Rotunda in Harrisburg at 1 p.m.
The Pennsylvania Senate passed Senate Bill 1, the Opportunity Scholarship Act, by a vote of 27-22. Now the bill must be considered by the House of Representatives.
Senate Bill 1 will create a pilot program for school vouchers and implement a significant increase to the Educational Improvement Tax Credit (EITC) program.
The Archdiocese is urging families to contact their state legislators and ask them to support school choice legislation by visiting them in person, sending letters and emails or making telephone calls.
