Families of St. Francis de Sales School in Aston celebrated a spooky Spirit Night Oct. 21 at the Pumpkin Patch at Ahearn’s Market Gardens. Located at the large red and white tent on Route 452 in Aston Township, the event is now in its fourth year and is hosted by Joe, Susan and Anna Rose Ahearn, parishioners of St. Francis de Sales Parish. Anna Rose, a fifth grade student at the parish school, has helped plan the event and special games every year.
Together the families enjoyed a beautiful fall evening of Halloween games, treats, food and drink. The students of St. Francis de Sales’ school volunteered to monitor the games that consisted of Pin the Wart on the Witch, Wrap the Mummy, Bobbing for Apples and Bowling for Pumpkins to name a few.
During the event and throughout the month of October, parishioners may shop for pumpkins, mums and other fall decorations. A portion of the sales will be donated to St. Francis de Sales School.
