Winners of an annual Christmas artwork contest celebrating faith and missionary outreach were honored during an Oct. 18 Mass at the Cathedral Basilica of SS. Peter and Paul marking World Mission Sunday.
The contest was sponsored by the Missionary Child Association (MCA), one of four Pontifical Mission Societies that together support some 1,110 mission dioceses worldwide.
The MCA focuses on teaching children to embrace their baptismal call to become missionaries through prayer, good works and the support of mission efforts throughout the world.
